From Christa Taylor Photography & Champagne Wedding Coordination – “Revolution Hall is part of the newly renovated Washington High School building. Once a landmark of Portland’s education, the 1908 historic site now hosts one of Portland’s most desirable music and wedding venues. In keeping with the heart of the city, this shoot highlights the beauty of industrial design contrasted with lush green scenery viewed from the rooftop!”
From Christa Taylor Photography & Champagne Wedding Coordination – “Inspired by the masculine lines of the cityscape backdrop we chose soft neutral colors to pair with our greenery as we didn’t want to take away from the simple, modern elegance of the venue. As invitations are the first impression a guest receives, we started there, searching for a design that would evoke that organic connection we were looking for. Egg Press captured our vision perfectly with her letterpress rendition, complete with the tear-off RSVP. When we approached Parcel Portland about the theme she came back with the most beautiful bridal party gift sets and the “grow it yourself” seed packets were the ideal wedding favor.
Punch Portland created the stunning tablescape highlighting ferns, succulents, and vibrant tulips. We loved the perfect complement of the school beakers as a flower vessel, a nod to the venues origins. The menu consisted of Gougeres with Shrimp Salas, rustic Deviled Eggs, and a Charcterie Board. The signature cocktail was called Easy Reviver, which was served in a martini glass.”
From Christa Taylor Photography & Champagne Wedding Coordination – “We loved the contrast of soft Baby’s breath as the whimsical floral accent for our altar, ensconced in gleaming metal buckets. Even the chairs were selected with care to highlight the theme of industrial romance. We kept the rich contrasts going when we selected the opulent gown, so feminine against the school backdrop. The modern blusher was perfectly romantic but still a fresh take on the classic bridal veil. We transitioned to a hair comb featuring the color palette for the reception.
In keeping with the vintage vibe we brought in a classic 1960s convertible for our getaway car. It was the perfect end to the story and we could easily imagine it parked in the original parking lot so long ago. It is with great excitement that we get to share the finished product, truly a dream team of creatives working together to inspire a new vision for modern industrial weddings!”
