Paseo Arts District Engagement.
In their hometown of Oklahoma City, Hayley and Tanner floated through the streets of the Paseo Arts District to capture the essence of this unique community. With an artistic vigor and Spanish Revival architecture, their session was both unique and endearing – making for quite the pictorial journey.
Hayley and Tanner couldn’t be more perfect for one another and it definitely translates through the lens. For the first half of the shoot, Hayley dons a striped light blue and white dress but adds a pop of flirty fun with a red lip. Tanner coordinates with a dark blue button down shirt and khakis
They stand in the breezeway of the Paseo Gallery One, framed by its peachy and intricate Spanish style appeal and unique landscaping.
While Tanner kisses her hand, the photographer gets an up-close shot of Hayley’s romantic rose gold engagement ring.
They hold hands and pause along their journey, stopping under weathered windows and never letting a smile leave their faces.
A collection of cactus and the pink exterior of a nearby building provide a cool and interesting backdrop one would never think belonged to Oklahoma City.
Hayley shows off a brilliant smile with confidence.
Tanner is the picture of contentment as the photographer gets a solo shot.
The second half of their shoot is much more relaxed, resembling a casual day date the two might take together.
Tanner dons a black shirt and jeans, while Hayley complements his style with black skinny jeans and a light pink top.
While Tanner accessorizes with a watch, Hayley chooses a statement necklace to complete her look.
Their final stop brings them to a manicured lawn in front of a gorgeous pastel –hued building with intricate detail on the entryway and columns. The sunset casts a rosy glow on the scene, ending this sweet session on a romantic note.
Hayley and Turner found the most unique spot to take their engagement photos in their hometown. Their session inspires us all to take a step back and look at our surroundings with a new lens. While you might not be in Paris, Greece or any other exotic destination, you can certainly find ways to make your engagement session one that is fresh and new in a place that is so familiar.
