From Kaitlin Poirier – “The main inspiration for this styled shoot was the building. 313 East Bay is an old Charleston home boasting with exposed bricks, original hardwood floors, original crown molding, crystal chandeliers, oversized piazzas, and multiple fireplaces.
The historic home was built in 1815, but for this wedding inspiration shoot, Intrigue Design and Events added in bold modern accents to play off of the traditional Charleston character. Intrigue Design and Events wanted to showcase the beauty of the space, while integrating modern designs and elements from vendors and small businesses local to Charleston!”
“The extravagant gowns from Lovely Bride, as well as tuxedos provided by Charleston Tuxedo, played off of the stunning architecture that we were inspired by. To bring in the modern accents, Geologist trained, Montgomery Taylor behind Garb Designs, created bow ties, pillows and napkins for the shoot, which she created from microscopic images of rocks. It added a colorful punch of pattern to the scene!”
“A steal-worthy tablescape out on the second story piazza featured bold blooms juxtaposed with rose gold accents, Garb custom napkins, clear ghost chairs, and tons of hanging greenery for the perfect blend of modern romance.”
