We’ll gladly attest to the power of a black and gold palette, and it can only be enhanced by thoughtful touches of white marble and subtle pops of dusty rose. We’re staring all day at the cane back Dior chairs with dried branches (and a perhaps lingering a little too long on the speckled, statuesque cake with a sharp leaf motif). Perfectly positioned at the showstopping Malibu Rocky Oaks and exquisitely styled by Joy Proctor, this wedding is classic Hollywood glamour with a twist of modern luxury and a lot of fun. We picked 3 iconic places on the property to showcase, the front courtyard, the infinity pool and the helicopter pad, which offered the perfect backdrop of Malibu’s iconic rocky skyline and vineyards.
On the helipad, Joy styled an intimate table setting with wingback chairs, marble place cards by Paper Birch and dramatic black candlesticks. Gold flatware combined with garden roses and dried branches are a great way to incorporate the arid terrain into a more elegant setting.
