Today’s rose quartz wedding inspiration shoot photographed by Rodion Shapor is a complete jaw-dropper and utilizes one of Pantone’s colors of the year for 2016 in the most fabulous way. From the stunner of a pink wedding dress to the floral designs throughout this magnificent St. Petersburg mansion, it really doesn’t get any prettier than this – it’s an absolute fairytale!
From Mikhail Zhiltsov – “In the very beginning we were inspired by fantastic location – abandoned Brusnitsyn’s Mansion, a historic building in St.-Petersburg (1884) a home for a big wealthy family. This place was filled with children’s laughter, life and joy, its magnificent halls has seen the most splendid balls of the city. Everything changed during the revolutionary years. Today the mansion is in decay and its interiors evoke the ghosts of past sumptuousness.
When we fist found this place we understood it was a unique setting for our photoshoot. We decided to capture the atmosphere both mystical and romantic. As the shoot began to come together we came across an idea to implement a fairytale element to the scenario. We thought of magical love story taken place in abandoned castle – Beauty and the Beast. We were moved by idea of love and hope surviving against all odds.
During long preparations a special dress for our princess was created by young designers of Milamira Bridal. Our floral designer Nastasya Panina outdid herself bringing to life stunning floral garlands, which majestically went together with interiors of the mansion.
As a result the atmosphere of the shoot feels so romantic yet just a little wistful. A fairytale with a beautiful ending!”
