FromAmy Donohue Photography – “For this winter wedding inspiration shoot, the primary vendors involved were based in Vermont, a New England state known for it’s beautiful natural scenery and craft products. We decided to style a winter shoot for Vermont’s longest, coldest, but quite beautiful season!
The loft at Simon Pearce in Quechee, Vermont was our chosen location for it’s rustic elegance. Set aside a covered bridge along a river, it was the perfect setting for our winter theme. A fresh snowfall in the morning and dreamy sunlight in the afternoon melted the morning snow, giving us the best of both worlds for this winter inspired shoot!”
“Hand-made elements were used through the design. Hand blown Simon Pearce glassware and authentic pottery was set upon a deep wood farm table (provided by Blood’s Rentals), adorned with calligraphy written for our invitation, menu, and ribbon place cards by the ever so talented Linen & Leaf.
Lush florals designed by Michelle Boleski of Petals Floral Design, in a color palette of winter blues and reds made for an eye-catching decor element for our table and bouquets. The bouquets were tied together with beautiful hand dyed silk ribbon from Silk and Willow.”
“Our bride wore an oatmeal long-sleeved Cathy Telle gown with leaf detailing. Her long dark curls were pinned with hand-made golden maple leafs by Melinda Rose Designs, adding a sweet connection to Vermont’s state tree, the Sugar Maple. She wore a vintage inspired rose-gold garnet engagement ring provided by Trumpet & Horn.
Caroline Reusen of Belles and Bubbles showcased her talent by styling this shoot and pulling together many local and craft vendors. Our shoot is sure to inspire future brides looking for elegant winter wedding ideas!”
