From Molly Lichten Photography – “Shannon and Kyle’s wedding at the Mt. Washington Mill Dye House in Baltimore was the perfect combination of vintage industrial charm and classic wedding style. The elegant exposed brick of the venue combined with the couple’s soft color palette of pastels, white, blush, and gold set the stage for a beautiful and romantic celebration!”
THE PROPOSAL
From Shannon – “Kyle had planned a dinner for us to celebrate my new job. When we finished dinner we went out for another drink. While we were out he had his friends decorate our place with candles, roses and champagne. When we got home he had me walk in first. I wasn’t sure what was going on until he got down on one knee and ask me to marry him!”
THE WEDDING STYLE
“My initial vision was to have a rustic barn wedding, but when I saw the Dye House I fell in love the venue. It gave a different type of rustic appeal and I feel like the exposed brick reminded me of how Baltimore is very charming. I wanted a neutral color palette and I love anything girlie, so I thought whites, light pinks and gold.
I loved our centerpieces and place card holders. We made everything at our wedding – we even built our centerpieces which were flower boxes with our initials engraved in each one. As a personal touch, my necklace was the diamond from my mom’s wedding ring.”
WEDDING DETAILS
“For the wedding cake we wanted something simple and so cream with roses as decoration was the perfect fit for us. The favors were a fun combination of Kyle & I’s favorite snacks which everyone enjoyed!”
