Cape Town-based bridal designer Elbeth Gillis has released two capsule collections for 2017: “Milk and Honey”, which offers mix-and-match separates, and featured here today, “Luxury”, which consists of 8 sensually elegant wedding dresses. This year is all about the backs and shoulders, and of course, luxury as the designer source only the best fabrics (including sumptuous satins and silk chiffons) from around the world.
“Backs plunge to the hips in a variety of ways, from keyhole openings to illusion backs and lace tattoos. Necklines also reveal more decolletage, but with a sophistication that is quite becoming. Silhouettes include everything one could ask for, from a satin ball gown to flowy skirts to figure-fitting gentle mermaids.” The Elbeth Gillis 2017 collections will be available in stores at the end of September.
