From Skylar Caitlin of Chancey Charm Houston – “Our shoot is inspired by the couple that loves to entertain. The bride wants her wedding to feel like the intimate dinner parties she and her fiancé regularly host in their home. The groom wants every guest to feel welcomed; their comfort is his number one priority.
The goal of our design team was to refine the natural setting into an effortlessly elegant reception. The creative team crafted stunning details that would be meaningful to our inspiration couple. Their ultimate goal is to have each guest feel like they’ve stepped into the couple’s backyard for an al fresco feast!”
From Skylar Caitlin of Chancey Charm Houston – “Papellerie provided the gorgeous paper suite which I took with me to meet with the team at Brian Gavin Diamonds who perfectly matched the blue in the suite with the set of jewels our model bride wore. The handkerchief with a verse from Song of Solomon on it that Papellerie included was a great representation of the personal touches our inspiration couple would want.
The single tier wedding cake from Buttercup topped with flowers fit our ‘naturally beautiful’ aesthetic. I loved the way the little white flowers – called coral bells – looked draping off the edges. Michaelle with Swift Events called me right before the shoot to say they’d just gotten in these unique lattice backed chairs. It ended up being the perfect backdrop for the cake!”
“We had a really wild set of events happen leading up to the shoot. Our original model couple had a medical emergency – thankfully all is well! – that left us scrambling for a pair of love-birds to fill in. Thankfully one of the Sunkissed and Made Up artists called her cousin who just got engaged and it was like a match made in heaven. The bride looked breathtaking in the Vera Wang gown from Casa de Novia – it was the first gown they pulled off the rack and it was a winner.”
“This shoot was so dreamy to watch come together. I love putting textures into table settings, so having the rattan chargers and leather napkin ties made me giddy. Plus the rose gold flatware from Swift Events really popped on the linens. Debbie of A Finer Event pulled out a set of slightly edgy, modern crystal that pulled it all together. I knew that for this inspiration couple, having a great red wine to ground the dinner would be a must and having such a gorgeous vessel made this table a favorite of mine!”
