Clutching a cup of coffee and a newspaper, the Mother’;s Day actress, 36, who just topped the Us Weekly 2015 Best Dressed List, modeled a black and white tank top and Daisy Dukes. She carried a rainbow-hued Etro purse, and finished the ensemble with height-boosting Salvatore Ferragamo platform wedges.

On the beauty front, Hudson, who has two sons, Ryder Robinson, 11, and Bingham Bellamy, 4, rocked minimal makeup and straight shoulder-length hair.

While in NYC, the rom-com queen took a break from filming Mother’;s Day, which is currently shooting in Atlanta. The latest in Garry Marshall‘s holiday-theme series stars not only Hudson, but also Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston, the latter of which Hudson snagged a photo with. “Day 1: Who’;s that gorgeous lady peekin over my shoulder?” the blonde beauty wrote, adding the hashtags “#GirlsAtWork” and “#LetsConvinceJenToGetOnInstagram.” (We second that!)
