Budding supermodel Gigi Hadid has been tapped to play the leading lady in DJ Calvin Harris‘ new music video for his single “How Deep Is Your Love” with the Disciples, and we have one big guess as to how that collaboration happened: Taylor Swift, Hadid’;s good friend and Harris’; girlfriend.

While the “Bad Blood” crooner, 25—who also cast Hadid, 20, in her latest music video alongside a whole slew of her famous friends—was not spotted on the Malibu set of the video, a source told Us Weekly, “The lead girl [in the video] was inspired by Taylor, and Gigi is playing the lead.”

Of course, Hadid’;s ensemble was a little bit different than the typical preppy street styles the pop sensation is spotted in. The occasional Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star flaunted her booty in a pair of zip-up Seafolly bikini bottoms teamed with a top embellished with long mesh sleeves. For beauty, the model rocked beachy waves, perfect for the poolside setting.

While the outfit may not seem to outré, the source revealed that the video’;s concept is actually quite complex. “The video follows the lead girl around as she goes in and out of different realms—a tripped-out lair with mushrooms on the wall, a posh Miami pool party, and a yacht party,” the insider shared.

And it only gets crazier from there. “There was a lab set up in a garage yesterday where they filmed Gigi lying down on the table like Frankenstein,” the source added. “It was sort of a mad scientist laboratory, with beakers set up with different potions.”

As for the leading lady, the source said that Hadid was nothing but the picture of professionalism. “When she walked out onto the set, she had an entourage of 15 to 20 people trailing her, but she never gave off the vibe of being high maintenance. Some people joked, ‘Give her another year!’; But she was very professional, very seasoned,” the source told Us. “She would dance a little crazier when they yelled cut, but snapped right back into professional mode.”
The source added, “Gigi looked gorgeous. She’;s naturally very beautiful.”
