Short hairstyles are cute and fun, but most of all, you can be really carefree while sporting them. If you have straight hair, that’s just an added bonus. Straight hair has a naturally wholeness to it and short hairstyles work really well with it. Here are some hairstyles you could try out.
1. Modern Bob:

The Modern Bob is wider than most bobs, as it ends right at the chin. To sport this look, you need to curl your hair down from your ears towards your neck so that your hair forms an inward curve all around. Have your bangs swept to one side. Finish off with a medium hold hairspray. The Modern Bob makes your hair look more voluminous and gives it that extra bounce.
2. Short Straight Bob w. Bangs:

The Straight Bob requires you to have the ends of your hair cut randomly all around. Have your bangs cut long enough to reach your eyes. Finish off with a light hold hairspray. This hairstyle adds a symmetrical sway to your hair while you walk.
3. Gradual Bob:

The Gradual Bob is best suited for formal gatherings. Have your hair cut in the shape of an ‘A’ so that the hair towards the front is longer and grows shorter and shorter as we go to the back. Now, curl your hair from your ears down towards your neck and smoothen the curves out with a paddle brush. Finish off with a light hold hairspray.
4. Layered Bob:

The Layered Bob is similar to any normal Bob hairstyle, with only one difference – Layers. Have your hair cut into layers and go about forming your bob. Your bangs can be of any length and they can be layered too. Have them swept to one side. Add a few highlights for the additional ‘oomph’. Finish off with a medium hold hairspray.
5. Stacked Bob:

The Stacked Bob is similar to the Layered Bob, except with sharper layers. This hairstyle makes it look like the layers are ‘stacked’ on top of each other, making it look more voluminous. You can style the layers in any way you want. Highlights are optional. Use a medium-hold spray to keep your hair in place.
6. Tucked Bob:

The Tucked Bob is the missing link between the Classic Bob and the Classic Pixie. Part your hair from one side. Have one side of your hair curve around the edge of your face and the other tucked behind your ear. Finish off with a medium hold hairspray.
7. Pixie (Long):

This hairstyle is a little different than the Classic Pixie. Have your hair cut short and at random lengths, except your bangs. Have your bangs cut in a gradual style. You may have your hair in two or 3 layers. Finish off with a light hold hairspray. Pixie hairstyles are one of the cutest hairstyles and the best part of it is that anyone can sport a pixie cut.
8. Textured Pixie:

Have your hair cut in random layers and have your bangs long enough to reach your eyes. Work styling serum through your hair and tousle the sides and back to get that textured look. Finish off with a light to medium hold hairspray depending on the complexity of your hairstyle.
9. Short Spikes:

This hairstyle is simpler than you expect. Have all of your hair cut evenly. Now, work setting gel through your hair, forming short spikes with slender strands of hair. Your spikes could be in a pattern or completely random, depending on what kind of look you want to sport. This hairstyle can be modified according to the occasion.
