I wasn’;t sure what, exactly, to name this nail art look. People talk about the “half-moon mani,” but one might argue that the red moon is more whole than half. And there are two of them, making it a “double”—but one is also flipped in reverse. So… double reverse half-moon mani? Eeks, that makes it sound much harder than it really is!
I settled on simply “double moon,” but whatever you want to call this, it looks sooo chic.
Here are the step-by-step instructions from celebrity nail artist Jin Soon Choi:
Double Moon Nail Art Tutorial
1. File and shape your nails into a long oval shape, and apply a base coat. (Jin used her own JINsoon Power Coat.)

2. Using a hot red nail polish, draw a circle starting from the base of the nail and ending it at a little below the centre mark. (Jin used JINsoon Nail Lacquer in Vanity from the Goop Classics 2 set; or try JINsoon Nail Lacquer in Coquette.)

3. Using a deep red nail polish, draw a half-circle at the tip of the nail starting from the tip, and end it before the centre point. (Jin used JINsoon Nail Lacquer in Audacity.)

4. Using a pale nude nail polish, fill in the space between the two circles. (Jin used JINsoon Nail Lacquer in Demure from the Goop Classics 1 set; or try JINsoon Nail Lacquer in Nostalgia.)

5. Finish with a high gloss top coat. (Jin used JINsoon Top Gloss.)
