When a wedding ceremony is this total of whimsy and cute little information, it’s virtually not possible to pass up. A bevy of animal figurines, a cheeky hint of aquamint tulle in the bride’s petticoat, and a ceremony recessional with water pistols in lieu of rice or flower petals are just the beginning right here! Piteira Photography, Anything Borrowed, and Martins Alves did some stunning perform on this stunningly whimsical destination wedding ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal.

From the photographers, Luis and Kerry of Piteira Photography: When Jessica and Pieter first got in touch and explained their concepts for their wedding day we knew that this was going to be something different and awesome, and we had been correct. They dressed up in animal costumes for their invitations (which they manufactured themselves) and had water pistols as an alternative of confetti… the tables had been decorated with farm animals and flowers, and they met up for a 1st search just before the ceremony, to get a stroll even though the old town of Ajuda just before exchanging their vows.

These guys are imaginative, quirky and have a excellent sense of humour and they place as much of this into the wedding as they could. A single of the funniest particulars was the wedding cake, the place the bride is in a hole and the groom is trying to help her out. This is since, as Jessica constantly jokes, she can be a bit accident-susceptible and managed to stumble into a hole whilst they were in Portugal arranging the wedding a handful of months beforehand. She ended up with very a nasty scar on her leg and everyone´s first reaction was: “it´s okay, the wedding dress will cover it!”… except that Jessica’s wedding dress was a quick, 50s type design which didn´t cover the scar at all! But a bit of clever makeup function did the trick and no-1 was the wiser on the day. The story of her falling in the hole although, is going to go down in historical past and the cake toppers did their element to immortalise the second. 🙂
