About Time Photography and Kelly Golia Events will inspire you with their sea sponge place cards, macramé wedding ceremony backdrop, and a barnacle wedding cake!
From Elise of About Time Photography & Kelly of Kelly Golia Events – “Tucked away in downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts, among the cobblestone streets and old factory buildings, you’re likely to stumble upon the local treasure that is the Whaling Museum.
Filled with centuries of history, the museum offers its own sort of romance, not to mention some incredible ocean views! This made the museum’s newly opened Harbor View Gallery the perfect setting for a romantic, stormy seas inspired styled wedding shoot.”
From Elise of About Time Photography & Kelly of Kelly Golia Events – “We instantly found inspiration in New Bedford’s rich history, and channeled the stormy seas encountered by whaling ships in the 1800s, whose stories are told throughout the museum. The stormy green, blue, and gray color palette paired with a combination of natural elements and gold details transported our couple to what can best be described as an elegant shipwreck.
No detail went uninspired – our use of glass elements throughout the tablescape gave a nod to the local history and glass museum around the corner, and the carefully illustrated details featured in the stationery designed by Haley Mistler added just the right amount of whimsy. We especially loved the Del’s Lemonade cupcakes made by Russell Morin Catering – a well-known local favorite!”
“All in all, this wedding shoot was inspired not only by our stormy seas theme, but by the rich culture of New Bedford and Southern Massachusetts, and the timeless romance evoked by the local history!”
