From Jamie Mercurio Photography – “This sweet little urban chic inspiration shoot was born out of the idea that springtime in Maine is not always as speedy to arrive as springtime in other parts of the country, so sometimes you have to create it!
The young love story of our theoretical couple began in art school, and so they chose to wed in friend’s a gorgeous white-painted exposed brick and hardwood floored art studio loft within a stunningly historical converted textile mill. The mill is over 130 years old, and maintains the industrial-chic charm that is often associated with such spaces.”
From Jamie Mercurio Photography – “The color palette and design of the shoot was largely influenced by the desire to invite springtime to come early by bringing it inside. Mixed metals along with lots and lots of gorgeous greenery helped create the overall vibe. Local branches cut and forced by the incredibly talented Emily Henry of Chickadee Hill Flowers and wound into an intricate half-arch created a unique and gorgeous backdrop for a ceremony and portraits.”
“Our tablescape designed and created by Kara Marshall of Marshall Tent & Event Rentals included gold flatware, copper Moscow Mule mugs, fun and interesting textures and glassware, and a pop of Wedgewood blue for the napkin overlaid with greenery and a single fritallaria flower. By placing the farm benches under the dining table and using a mix of seating topped with gray and white sheepskin throws and elegantly cozy pillows, a uniquely intimate and nest-like setting was created.
The copper escort cards and stationery designed by Lauren Myers of Lauren Rachel Design were hand-printed silk screen on pearlescent papers made in Italy. The paper is expressly created to give a shimmer effect, illuminating illustrations and bringing dimension to the hand-watercolored and graphic elements of the design.”
“Lisa Parker of Cakes for All Seasons provided us with a delicious and beautiful naked apricot almond cake, which she embellished with some elegant greenery. A giant romantic bouquet of White ranunculus, peach parrot tulips, double white tulips, hellebore, lilac, and more made for a breathtaking addition to our bride Jennie’s ethereal yet eclectic Adrianna Papell dress, which the ever-incredible hair & makeup artist Ariel Johnson accessorized with one of her stunning handmade headpieces.
Jennie also wore a beautiful rose gold and rough-cut diamond ring made by Portland-based jeweler Jen Burrall, with a stunningly minimalist diamond band.
Gabe’s classic J.Crew suit in blue was subtle and a bit casual, adding to the semi laid back atmosphere of the celebration. This shoot was so very fun to design and bring into being – not to mention how much fun it was to spend a day with the most wonderful, passionate, and oh, so talented creatives!”
