From Simply Lace Photography – “This rustic-luxe inspirational shoot was planned during one of Ontario’s mildest winter’s on record. And yet, as luck would have it, the weather was calling for a major snowstorm on the day of our shoot!
Our venue was the luxurious Serenity Cottage, a year-round exclusive waterfront retreat on the shores of Georgian Bay. Using the stunning rustic property as a back drop, we chose deep, moody colors of oxblood and black, which were complimented by lighter tones of peach, cream and natural greenery to create a dramatic, yet intimate, winter wedding setting.”
“The morning of the shoot, we awoke to an overcast day that quickly turned into blustering winds, rough waters, and at times, blizzard-like conditions. Though behind the camera the weather proved to be challenging, the end result was beautiful, with the bride’s jewel covered Rosa Clara dress glistening against the fresh snowfall, and rows of striking taper candles lighting the exquisite sweets table.”
“A favourite aspect of the property is it’s rustic cabin, situated just outside the main cottage. Complete with a wood burning fireplace, it is the perfect spot for the bride to get ready for her big day, or a cozy setting for a bride and groom’s first look.”
