From the designer Joshua Smith of Tailored Events – “The inspiration for the shoot came from The Georgia Theatre itself. I wanted to create an element of fantasy that the Theatre has while taking you somewhere else. Inspired by the amazing red curtains, the high ceilings and the aura of the stage itself, I wanted to enhance the rustic beauty of the building’s structure.”
From Tailored Events – “The plan was to create a warm, natural wonderland with stunning greenery and accents of color from florals created by Bud & Bloom that would contrast against Sons Of Sawdust’s beautiful reclaimed wood banquet table. Finally, Greg Hall’s rustic white wood stained glass backdrops, take you away to a mix of southern elegance and fantasy.
One of the real strengths of Tailored Events is offering artful touches from local vendors, from 100 pound cold press stationery by Salt and Paper designs to add texture, vintage antique chairs from the early 1900’s —her’s a rich French gold Victorian piece, his a more rustic handcrafted throne-style chair, both provided by Vic’s Vintage — treats for the sweet tooth with local handmade truffles created by Condor Chocolates and a gorgeous 3-tier ivory cake with white peony-inspired floral design created by Classic City Confections.
Being able to orchestrate such beauty in a legendary venue was an honor on its own, and being able to do it with such an amazingly talented team makes me feel so grateful!”
