From Courtney Leigh Photography – “In June, I attended Michelle Boyd’s Foundations Workshop, which included two full days of classroom learning as well as styled shoots, which culminated in this gorgeous outdoor romantic wedding inspired shoot!
The workshop venue was The Winfield Inn, which is an old southern mansion, nestled on over 27 acres in Kyle, TX. The property is filled with gorgeous live oak trees sweeping the ground. Today, the mansion acts as a backdrop to hundreds of weddings each year. It is a beautiful, elegant, charming venue that feels comfortable and familiar to all who enter the property, and that’s the vibe that Michelle incorporated into the shoot.”
From Courtney Leigh Photography – “On the table, there was a mix of modern, organic and classic textures: stoneware plates, vintage flatware, and clean linens. Ellen Westcott of Westcott Weddings, did an incredible job styling the entire table settings to perfection and Bristol Lane Florals created the most stunning blooms to set a romantic mood, also establishing a fresh and timeless look. Graceline Art created gorgeous paper suites and menus for the table on handmade paper for a refined and organic touch. Green Lily Bakery created a simple and subtle 4-tier white cake with small beaded detail and a touch of floral and silk ribbon!
The models for the shoot, Megan and Louis, are a real couple who are planning to get married in Austin next spring. The gorgeous Julian Gold gown fit Megan to perfection, the classic tulle ballgown made a beautiful statement and Makenzi Laine created a flawless look for hair and makeup on Megan. Louis was outfitted in a modern tux from Billy Reid to compliment Megan’s classic look. These two radiate genuine sweetness throughout all of the images and were just a dream to photograph!”
