What a magnificent bridal session inspiration shoot I have for you today! Callie Manion Photography put the colors of a rock quarry to work and set a glamorous bride against it and enhanced it all with some truly stunning pops of red. The entire look is retro glam perfection!
From Callie Manion Photography – “The location that I chose was an abandoned rock quarry around Dallas, Texas, which has the most gorgeous blue water. To compliment the natural colors of the quarry, I went with a gold and red color scheme. These bold & glamorous colors really pop on film and compliment the bride’s dress! The glamorous gold sequins have such a beautiful retro vibe. It was my primary inspiration for this photo shoot and once I’d picked that, I knew I wanted to compliment the gold color with deep reds, both in the bride’s makeup and also in her bouquet.
I feel passionate about this shoot because not every bride fits into the traditional mold. I love that this photo shoot shows a different spin on bridals and shows one of the many different ways you can cater your wedding day and your photos to you. This type of glam bridal shoot is perfect for those who love the romanticism of the 1920s. And who doesn’t want to put on a gold sparkly dress every once in a while and spin around!?
I wanted to keep the cake simple, yet glamorous. The clean white icing paired with the splash of gold really work together to compliment the pop of red in the flower placed on the side. The cake is meant to feel effortless and be seen as an accessory for the bride, just as she wears her dress & carries her bouquet.”
