Nigerian Wedding Inspiration.
The curation of this styled Nigerian-inspired shoot came to fruition thanks to the ingenious concept of integrating wedding traditions. The lively, majestic colors of Nigerian traditions are blended with the neutral tones found in more modern cultures. This artistic presentation inspires brides to embrace their own unique cultural makeup to create a wedding that’s completely their own.
Every detail is deliberate, including the location, décor and colors. While the majority of the design features blush tones, the bright pops of color infused into the look are distinctive and purposeful.
The bride’s look features a hallmark of Nigerian wedding tradition – a coral neckline/cape. She dons this over a simple white wedding dress and the combination is chic and eye-catching.
She pulls her hair back in a low ponytail and adds a fingertip-length veil to round out her bridal style.
The shoot takes place at a private residence that had another life as an old steel mill. The industrial ambiance blended with the Nigerian elements and modern aesthetic are a physical representation of the harmonious way you can incorporate foreign concepts into one experience.
