From Carmen at Bird Dog Wedding – “Take a short drive from Austin through Texas Hill Country and you will stumble upon Garden Grove, a luxury wedding venue for the classic bride. Mikenzie Bean of Grey to Blue Photography and I teamed up to create a romantic wedding inspiration shoot that showcased the natural beauty of this new Austin wedding venue. We choose an icy blue and bold Chartreuse color palette that we hope speaks to brides planning winter weddings.”
From Carmen at Bird Dog Wedding – “Brides who choose this dreamy venue for their celebration get the ranch for the entire weekend. No need for fussy hotels and living out of suitcases. Garden Grove brides move into a comfortable bedroom, enjoy a luxurious bathroom, and can take a dip in the on-site swimming pool! “
(see Garden Grove’s opening celebration featured on Burnett’s Boards here).
From Carmen at Bird Dog Wedding – “Samantha Burnett of Wondrous Whimsy handcrafted a custom stationery suite in our color palette. Her use of colorful calligraphy ink and vintage stamps made us swoon.
We created this cozy sweetheart table using rentals from Loot Vintage Rentals and Marquee Rents. The plush seating fit in perfectly with Garden Grove’s inspired landscaping.
Samantha McCrary of Bricolage Curated Florals created our dimensional centerpiece, bridal bouquet, and cake flowers. But she didn’t stop there. Inspired by asymmetrical arrangements, she handcrafted a one-shoulder floral piece that wrapped around to the back of the bridal gown.”
“As a wedding planner, I’m no stranger to stressful last-minute changes and quick decision-making. But when our model cancelled on us the day before the shoot, even I was a little shaken up. However, the key to being a great wedding planner is flexibility. In this case, that meant stepping in and being the model myself!
Andrea Juarez styled my hair into a wavy, braided updo, and Lauren Davis of Hint of Shimmer applied a natural makeup look with an emphasis on a frosty lip color. I fell in love with the Hayley Paige bridal gown we picked up from Blush Bridal Lounge. The matte taffeta fabric was gorgeous and the sweetheart neckline was extremely flattering.
Jessica Henderson of Green Lily Bakery fashioned a trio of hand-painted mini cakes. Her tasty treats perfectly coordinated with our color palette and popped with added florals from Bricolage!”
