When you have a modern rose gold sequin-hemmed wedding gown, glass science beakers as the vessels for your floral centerpieces, and the groom’s best friend officiating, you know you have set the stage for an incredible funny, heartfelt, and easygoing wedding. And that’s just what Libby and Alex had! Lucky for us, Kaysha Weiner Photographer was there to capture it all.
Inspired by California food and Australian plant life along with the bride’s rose gold engagement ring, Libby and Alex celebrated at The Millwick, a former livery and warehouse turned eclectic chic wedding venue in Los Angeles. With the help of their wedding team, they created a memorable experience through a family-style dinner, choreographed first dance, custom commissioned matte gold focal wall backdrop, and a cool personal wedding brand literally burned into the venue’s bartop.
Libby and Alex will be the first ones to say that it was their loved ones who made the special day come to life: “The point is that the wedding was each of us and us as a couple physically manifested in a way that could be shared with our family and friends which is really the whole point of having a wedding; to announce in front of people you care about, who will celebrate your successes, hold you accountable for your wrongs and support you through your failures, that you are committing yourself to this one person forever. By incorporating those people into all parts of the day, you further solidify that commitment.”
