From the bride, Brittany – “Our proposal took place in our apartment and was very intimate and sweet. Harrison took me out for the day to go house hunting to look for our first home together.
While we were away, his best friend Shaun decorated our place to create a romantic setting and attached the engagement ring to the collar of our kit8. Once I walked in and realized what was happening I just cried and dropped to the floor. No words were really spoken but a lot of tears. We both knew the answer was yes!”
“We decided soon after getting engaged that we wanted something small and more personal to spend the special moments with those we are closest with. Maui is the perfect setting for a romantic, intimate wedding. The sound of the ocean, the view of neighboring islands and the fantastic weather drew us there. A big upside was the fact that we would be able to spend a whole week with family and friends in paradise. The fun continued well after the Big Day!
Our wedding vision was to create something romantic, elegant and dreamy. We wanted an outdoor wedding with an earthy vibe. We loved having lots of greenery on the head table and chandeliers hanging from the trees. Eating dinner at sunset and listening to the crashing waves was the perfect atmosphere.”
“One of the most gorgeous aspects of our wedding was the bouquet – it was absolutely stunning! Working with Darren and Shane in Maui all the way from Toronto presented no challenge in making our day just how we wanted it. After sending a single picture of what we wanted our flowers to look like, the Bliss team worked hard to create our vision.
The long, beautifully arranged harvest tables, set under a canopy of trees the Kukahiko Estates provided the perfect, intimate atmosphere for family and friends to exchange stories and special memories of us together. One of our concerns was the variability of weather for an outdoor wedding, but the light rain before the wedding was a blessing, making our backdrop for photos absolutely stunning and the lush environment of the Estate come alive.”
