From the floral designer, Christine Cater Floral & Event Design: Growing up in Carmel Valley and spending many moments in Big Sur, with the highlight of getting engaged there, Big Sur has my full attention. The beauty is unmatched. Setting out to to compliment this landscape for this photo shoot was deep and meaningful. Ventana Inn and Spa touts luxury accommodations and amenities. We found inspiration in the rolling hills, meadows and views of the pacific ocean.
Carol Hannah’s caftan gown seemed a perfect fit for our Bohemian Luxe vibe. The blues of the Pacific Ocean mirrored our edgy custom suit by Franco Uomo. Dye cut details in the Christian Louboutin shoes and charger complimented the lacy landscape all around. Soft quartz name tags, crystal geodes and marble accents represented the rugged landscape. Our vintage art deco inspired jewelry pieces of 4tane Jewelers were the perfect accent to this luxurious shoot.

The pampas grass arch sure grabbed our attention, but it’s this cascading waterfall bouquet that melted our hearts. Christine Cater Floral & Event Design never ceases to amaze!

Funny how Big Sur speaks to the juxtaposition of life. Rolling hills and rugged landscape do indeed remind us all of graceful times and challenging moments. Big Sur is reflective of how the difficult, jagged edges that interrupt the smoothness of life are natural happenings that make life truly beautiful. Embracing every experience of life fully makes us who we are.
