From Callie Manion – “I am passionate about boudoir that captures a woman’s femininity and beauty without objectifying her. Boudoir allows women to celebrate their beauty and vulnerability and really connect with themselves and their body. This particular series is romantic, soft, and even a little mysterious. The beautiful model, Carmel, really pulls you in with her gaze!”
From Callie Manion – “The first set of images were taken outside The White Sparrow barn at sunrise. The soft morning light danced on Carmel’s face and made her absolutely glow. Boudoir should empower women and allow them to feel beautiful and let themselves shine, so I love the way the light symbolizes Carmel’s inner beauty and truly illuminates her. Her soft golden hair looked radiant set against the pop of green from the fields behind and wrapping her in a sheer fabric really added a touch of elegance to the whole look!”
“We then headed inside the White Sparrow for the second set of images. Carmel makes a striking contrast set against the all-white barn, and I love the way the neutral color palate both stands out and blends into the surroundings to really give a very soft & romantic feel. These images are a bit more mysterious and alluring, as Carmel wraps herself in beautiful French robes and delicate pieces of fabric. I love the way her body tells a story and Carmel was truly inspiring to photograph!
I wanted this series to serve as an inspiration to all women and to show how delicate and beautiful boudoir can be – especially when pairing beautiful silk robes with dainty floral arrangements and some striking pieces of jewelry!”
