90’s Bronze

Although we’re going into SS15, I can’t help but notice that the browns don’t seem to be going off trend and I must say I’m really thankful for it, because I laaaaav them (being a 90’;s kid ‘n’; all)! <3
I threw together a little brown eye and lip combo that I think you will all like, because I know how difficult it is to pair them together and pull it off. So, we’re keeping it cute and simple.

  1. Do your foundation and brows. The eyeshadows I’m working with today aren’;t that dark, so if we have a bit of fall out, it’s easy to clean up. Recently, I’;ve been a fan of using the Real Techniques Complexion Sponge instead of a foundation brush. I find that it gives me a much more flawless finish, without using as much product. Plus, it’;s a much cheaper dupe to the Beauty Blender! I’;m also only using bronzer and highlighter for this look, no blush whatsoever.

2. Once you’;ve got your base on and brows on, prime your eyelids and set them with a skin coloured eyeshadow. As I always say, this is prevent any creasing and just help your eyeshadows blend out a lot smoother. Taking a blending brush (I’;m using my absolute fave, the Zoeva 227 Luxe Soft Definer), start buffing an ash brown into your crease to act as your transitional colour. Take your time with this, we’;re in no rush gals!

3. To add more definition to your crease, take a darker brown and start to build that over the top of your transition colour. Keep this colour right in your crease and blend outwards. I find that keeping my eyeshadow quite rounded is what suits my eye shape best, but don’;t hesitate to buff it out into a more feline, winged shape 🙂

4. Since it is a Friday – a BANK HOLIDAY one (if you’;re in the UK), may I add! – you obviiiiously want to add a bit of glamour to your look. If my last eye makeup tutorial was a bit too much for you, this one will be perfect. Take a shimmery bronze colour and apply all over your lid, up to your crease. This will add a pretty bronze sheen, without being glittery.

5. Last but not least, lashes! They will add so much more glam to your look – as well as much your eyes look a hella lot bigger and much more awake! This is obviously optional, but I would highly recommend. I’;m rocking my personal fave which are Ardell Demi Wispies 😉

Once your eyes are done, apply a nude lipstick with brown undertones – I’;m using Charlotte Tilbury’;s Lip Slick Nude Lip Duo, I don’;t need to say anymore, just go and check it out NOW! I’;m pairing this look with a messy side parting (I’;m growing out my bangs, so this is what I could come up with, ha!) and tousled waves. To achieve this I used my 16-18 HK Full Head Extensions and the BaByliss Pro Titanium Expression Waving Wand.
