What are the best foods for beauty?
We all know how enjoying a healthy and balanced diet is the best way to stay in shape and look good. But what are the foods that will give us skin that glows and hair that shines?
Obviously fast foods like burgers and buffalo wild wings aren’t going to be the core ingredients of your beauty-based diet. And whilst a 5 portions of fresh fruit and vegetables every day will always be a good idea, there are a few foodstuffs that have been claimed to work wonders for our beauty regimes.
Yoghurt

If you’re afflicted by dark circles under your eyes, then consider treating yourself to a daily dose of organic yoghurt. A simple breakfast of Greek yoghurt is packed with amino acids which could be a great way to rid yourself of those tired-looking eyes.
Berries

In order to make your yoghurt a little more exciting, why not include a few fresh berries? Not only do strawberries, blackberries and blueberries taste amazing, but they also have plenty of antioxidants that could help stop free radicals from prematurely ageing our skin!
Carrots

Now that we’re in the middle of summer, we’re going to need a little extra help to fight the ageing effects of UV rays. And whilst sunscreen is essential, it’s interesting to see how even the humble carrot could protect our skin from the skin as they are full of carotenoids that can reduce redness and even reduce our sensitivity to the sun’s rays.
Salmon

Of course, it’s not just about fresh fruit and vegetables, as eating wild salmon is a great way to supercharge your beauty regime. Not only is salmon one of the best places to find the omega-3 fatty acids that are essential for keeping our skin moisturised, but salmon also contains plenty of vitamin D that’s reported to be good for your teeth too!
Water
It’s often easy to forget, but consuming lots of water is perhaps the best way to keep your skin looking fresh. And once again it’s maintaining a balanced and varied diet that’s key to keeping your body operating effectively. So that with everything from consuming plenty of fresh fruit to enjoying the diverse assortment of healthy meals that can be found at Deliveroo, it’s essential to receive your nutrients from a variety of sources. And then drinking at least two litres of water per day will do a great job in keeping you hydrated and ensuring that your skin glows.
Oysters

And finally, if you’re suffering from the occasional bout of acne, and are feeling fairly extravagant, then why not see if oysters can come to your rescue. Oysters have often been seen as being one of the best foods for skin as they contain lots of zinc that kills acne-causing bacteria and also produces plenty of natural collagen to keep our skin looking elastic.
