MTV Movie Awards 2015: The Need to-See Attractiveness Appears

on

This year’;s MTV Movie Awards, held in Los Angeles on Sunday night, brought out some fresh new faces (for these of you tiring of the typical suspects), and just about every beauty look beneath the sun. Seriously, this red carpet is all over the place!

Here is your hair and makeup report:

Bella Thorne

6teen-12 months-olds, eh? Their skin is so annoyingly dewy and plump. Which is why Bella will get away with a super-simple red carpet seem: textured wavy ponytail, sheer shimmery gloss, champagne shadow and fluttery eyelashes. (I feel the latter are actually working nicely right here, as they are at the outer edges only, and type of melt into her liner, which matches her eye colour.) The lip, as per normal, is Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick and I feel the shade is Fresh Papaya.

Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett! This is not your search! We all get the new mom thing, and can even live with the brief haircut, but c’;mon—what’;s up with these dark roots and frosted guidelines? It’;s like an ashy ’;80s Frost & Glow kit gone wrong. And then to try and match the brows to the roots… nope. Her Oscars seem was so a lot better, even though I didn’;t like that a single extremely much at the time.

Shailene Woodley

Haven’;t observed Shailene in ages! (Not because Teen Option final 12 months.) She’;s looking rather effortless here, with a awesome lil’; braid worked into her hair on a single side, and a vivid pop of red on the lips. Her basis looks slightly patchy/chalky it is possibly some hippie brand not meant for red carpet. She is wearing RMS Attractiveness Buriti Bronzer and Residing Luminzer. And that lip colour is a combo of Napa Vineyard and Redwood Forest from the new Burt’;s Bees Lip Crayon range I just reviewed final week!

Hailee Steinfeld

Typically, I am a Hailee fan, but the frizzy hair is throwing off her whole seem here. Get the girl some smoothing serum, stat! And okay, the forehead sitch is a little distracting. But I’;m enjoying the matchiness of the eyeshadow and shirt, with softly flushed lips and cheeks and all framed by her gorge brows.

Cara Delevingne

Cara perplexes me, due to the fact she can occasionally look like the most glamorous creature on earth… and then other occasions, it really is like this. Being a model, she nonetheless pulls off anything—but I am not in love with this gelled ponytail hairstyle, and I come to feel like I have eyebrow fatigue. Just from hers, specifically. They’;ve been above-exposed!

Jennifer Lopez

Gah! JLo just will not quit with this makeup lately. Why is her makeup artist providing her an Eagle (face lighter than neck)? And why does her eyeshadow always have to be this circular form now (as per here, also)? I also dislike the muddy contouring—it’;s a very good instance of why I keep away from contouring in general—and as typical, the goopy lip gloss texture. It seems like she tried to pull a Kylie Jenner but in lip gloss, not pencil. It really is not working….

Victoria Justice

Victoria is so naturally adorable, I do not get why she went so hefty right here on the makeup. When again, we have a slight mismatch on the basis, which gives an virtually greyish cast to her face. The matte pink lips are great, but the harsh black liner/false lashes just destroy the coolness element, know what I mean? The bouffant hairstyle is also severe also.

Kiersey Clemons

Now this is more like it! Kiersey helps make her Elegance Editor debut with flying colors. I adore her curls and all round hair shape, and that the concentrate then goes straight to her big round eyes, enhanced with black liquid liner. I’;d get rid of the white shimmer shadow and possibly reduce the ashiness of the brows a tad, but all round, this is actually great!

Emily Ratajkowski

Designers hold striving to make this moist-search hair take place, and it is not gonna. The only types who look okay in it are models like Emily, who is blessed with ridiculously ideal skin, sturdy brows and complete lips. Recognize how she did not mess up the search with false lashes or any heavy makeup.

Brittany Snow

See what I mean about unforgiving hairstyles? The centre-parted updo is difficult. Brittany was served far better by the soft, loose braid she wore the final time we noticed her, at the iHeartRadio Awards. But I do like the slick of candy pink lipstick and her signature chunky lashes.

Anna Camp

Effectively, this is a bit of a departure for Anna, who generally appears a lot more conservative with her styling. I love the concept of this angular purple against the fresh skin, sheer lip gloss and bouncy, blown-out hair. The shape actually extends her eye spot in a amazing, graphic way. She is sporting Make Up For Ever Artist Liner in Iridescent Purple I-90, Artist Plexi-Gloss and 1 of the new Stage one Skin Equalizers that I recently reviewed!

Charli XCX

Let us disregard the bizarre plaid raincoat and instead target on Charli’;s outstanding makeup. I’;m obsessing in excess of her ideal brows, creamy red lipstick and that wonderful highlight at the prime of her cheek. Also excellent that she didn’;t do considerably with her eyes except a bit of nude shimmer, and lashes. So excellent!

Greer Grammer

Lastly, anything from Greer that’;s a small more fresh. With her hair pulled back in a pony and a significantly lighter hand on the makeup, you get to enjoy her organic, youthful beauty. I just want she’;d get a greater set of false lashes, or shed them altogether.

Holland Roden

A great energy by Holland right here, who is seeking rather and sweet in matte pink lips, defined lashes and a minor bump at the leading of her low ponytail hairstyle. The only point is that her brow pencil isn’;t a match.

Maia Mitchell

Anybody else acquiring a Kendall Jenner vibe from Maia? Final time we saw her was two years ago, at the American Music Awards, and this look is equally gorgeous. It’;s all about the graphic (but soft and effectively-blended) shadow form, with hair parted strictly down the middle and tucked behind the two ears. Notice how her brows are left normal on the top—we’;re absolutely moving away from the obviously threaded, angular brow shapes. Perfection!

Halston Sage

It’;s Halston’;s 1st time on Elegance Editor… and I love that her title is actually Halston. For a 21-year-previous, this is just appropriate: nothing hefty, just natural beauty, loose fluffy hair, a bit of mascara and lip gloss. I would love to see her brows filled in a lot more softly.

Bridget Regan

Bridget Regan at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards. Bridget Regan at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards.

It really is Bridget’;s very first time on Beauty Editor as nicely… and I am not sure I can deal with the iridescent finish of her fuchsia lipstick. Are we ready to embrace this specific component of the 1980s? I do not know. I think it would’;ve been better with no the intense white highlights at the inner corners of her eyes, and the black liner, which make it appear dated instead of a great, deliberate statement.

Laura Marano

Enjoy the hair, enjoy the cheeks, love the lips. But Laura’;s brows and eye makeup could use a few tweaks. As with so numerous other folks on this red carpet, I uncover the brow-filling also unnatural-hunting, and the incorrect shade. With the eye makeup, it seems she extra the shimmer shadow following her mascara and it received caught on a handful of lashes.

Stefanie Scott

Aw, this is super-cute… even if it is a tiny princessy and not the most on trend. I do have problems with Stefanie’;s foundation not matching the rest of her body, but otherwise I’;m loving how the bronzey shadow all the way close to her eyes can make ’;em pop with out feeling hefty, and how that colour picks up on the tones in her hair. Great to see some hair accessory action also!

Tinashe

So near, Tinashe. So close! The prime knot is super-cute and she has wonderful skin, lips and brows… but the false lashes are effing with it all. I do not know if it really is the lighting or what, but it is an additional situation of a single side seeking longer than the other (and très spidery), just like the infamous pair worn by Sadie Calvano at the People’;s Choice Awards.

Amber Rose

I’;m ready for a new seem from Amber anytime now. I know it requires a specific self-assurance to function this variety of haircut, and I respect that. But I in no way thought the blonde worked effectively with her skin tone, and especially not with the juvenile pale pink shadow and lipstick combo.

Ashley Rickards

Ashley seems to be like she’;s obtaining some hair issues—not certain if which is lighter re-development or real hair thinning (she’;s only 22). I consider her makeup is okay, and she truly does pull off these more difficult-to-dress in cool tones. But I’;d drop the lip liner for certain.

Katherine McNamara

Katherine McNamara at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards. Katherine McNamara at the 2015 MTV Film Awards.

Katherine, this is not your Lifestyle Colour. Her hair is so extremely brassy and too light for her skin tone, in my opinion—it’;s taking away from her truly fairly functions and good makeup. I think if she dialed it way down, to a warm dark blonde, she’;d search 1,000 occasions much better. And maybe a trim, too.

Farrah Abraham

Speaking of dialing it down… Farrah would make an exceptional candidate for a make-under. Or possibly nobody is noticing her encounter since people implants are so distracting! I suspect she in fact has wonderful characteristics beneath the “Instagram brows”, drugstore false lashes and super-dated smoky eyeshadow application. Why try out so difficult?

Kelly Osbourne

However one more variation on Kelly’;s now-signature purple hair with shaved sides. (It truly is still not my factor.) But I actually like the blue eyeshadow and matte peach lips. Just not with this hair.

Jillian Rose Reed

Holy contouring, Jillian! She gets an A for hard work, but the execution is all wrong—we’;re not in fact supposed to observe the place you place it.  (This is why the total contouring palette explosion has me concerned… do we really want to be encouraging this sort of point?) On leading of that problem, we’;ve received a jarring contrast among the warm (and also heavy) brown eyeshadow and the amazing-toned pink lips. And the false lashes are too a lot.

Bai Ling

To wrap things up, I give you a bit of Bai Ling… and you know what? Her outfit might be cray, but makeup in fact isn’;t negative. That orangey-red lipstick colour is fantastic, and the Cleopatra eyes do have likely. Who woulda believed?
