New for Fall 2015, jane iredale has introduced the Ready to Wear Collection with 4 new products for the skin, eyes and lips filled with rich color to complement any wardrobe and mood for the upcoming season.
Available starting in August, the Ready to Wear Fall 2015 lineup includes :
PlayOn Lip Crayon ($ 18): The brand new lip crayons are available in 6 irresistible, long wearing shades, from classic reds to bright bubble gum pink, and include moisturizing oils keeping lips soft and conditioned for the perfect pout.
Smooth Affair for Oily Skin Facial Primer & Brightener ($ 48) : All the benefits of the award-winning Smooth Affair now formulated specifically for oily skin. Noticeably reduces appearance of pores, shine and fights blemishes and clogged pores for a smooth, matte skin tone
PurePressed Eye Shadow Singles ($ 19) : Mineral based pressed shadows designed to enhance the color and shape of the eye, with 4 new bold, yet wearable shades from pinks to violet to deep and soft greens.
PureLash Lengthening Mascara ($ 24): Now with a new dual sided brush that makes it easy to maximize lashes top and bottom for eyes that pop.The proprietary formula of seaweed lipids, Panthenol and wheat protein thicken, condition and strengthen lashes while triple-length Cellulose Fibers add extra length and thickness.
Today I have a few shades of the new PlayOn Lip Crayons to show you….take a look!
Formulated with nourishing Vitamin E, candelilla wax and soothing castor seed oil, these lip crayons have a soft and creamy texture that glides on very smoothly. The sleek design of the pencils makes them comfortable to hold and gives you a precise application. They aren’t twist-up style so you’ll need a pencil sharpener to get a pointed tip after a few uses.
As for the formula, I find it nicely moisturizing and wears comfortably without ever leaving my lips feeling dry. It’s not super long-wearing but lasts fairly well for a good 2-3 hours, depending on the shade. The shades I tried are :
- Luscious (creamy rose brown)
- Yummy (creamy sheer peach)
- Charming (creamy bubblegum pink)
- Blissful (shimmering sheer gold/nude)
Here’s a closer look:
All of these are really pretty and quite versatile with a great color payoff. My favorite is Charming, a bright and vibrant pink with slightly cool undertones… it’s quite a flattering shade! Yummy is a sheer peach shade that works as a lovely peachy-nude for me. Blissful is another great shade that you can wear alone for a shimmery nude lip or pair it with a matte lipstick to add shine and moisture! I prefer the latter option most of the times. And Luscious is one of those goes-with-almost-everything kind of neutral shade perfect for everyday wear. Here are the lip swatches :
