Found! A Gorgeous Rose Gold Highlighter Under $12

Press sampleMakeup trends come and go, but glowing skin is always in! Did you know that landing dewy, perfectly highlighted skin is one of the most sought-after makeup tutorials? That’s where highlighters come in!

As someone with naturally dry skin (who is always yearning for a healthy, dewy radiance), I have tried my quite a few highlighters. Some were fantastic, but cost too much for too little product; others were simply loaded with shimmer, which translated to a disco ball look I can’t stand; some powder formulas had a chalky finish on my dry skin; still more got my hopes up, but ultimately ended up in the product graveyard.

This rose gold liquid highlighter is the perfect pick to get a dewy, luminous glow that’s not the least bit sparkly or glittery! Strobing made easy!

The new Sculpt & Glow Liquid Highlighter by Models Own has luckily come through, and safely secured its spot in my makeup arsenal. It makes getting a luminous glow super easy and looks flattering!

In case you are wondering about this new brand, Models Own is a fashion and trend color brand from the U.K. that has recently launched exclusively at Ulta and Ulta.com. With over 650 eye, face and lip products, the brand’s mission is to offer the latest formulations in the hottest bold shades – no rules, no judgments, no limits – Bravery in Beauty!

Models Own Sculpt & Glow Liquid Highlighter comes in a squeeze tube topped with a sleek pump applicator. It’s available in 2 shades: Rose Gold and Luster. I love all things rose gold so this shade was an obvious choice! The lightweight formula has a soft, iridescent rosy finish and adds a sheer luminous glow whether I use it over makeup on my cheek bones and cupid’s bow or mix a little bit with my foundation.

It’s just a matter of smoothing it on and voila…you have an instant, wearable glow on your skin that doesn’t look overly done or unnatural. It’s a pretty, ethereal glow that won’t read as Twilight vampire in the sun. Just perfect for an easy, sheer strobing effect!

If you like to keep things more subtle, just add a drop or two of this liquid highlighter to your matte foundation for a gorgeous lit-from-within glow. Here are the swatches…

With my dry skin, I don’t find the formula to be hydrating but those with oily skin might feel differently. In any case, the finish is moist but not at all tacky, sticky or greasy so it would work for all skin types. If you have dry skin with an uneven texture like me, I would highly recommend prepping your skin with a good primer (before foundation) for the perfectly dewy-smooth finish from this liquid highlighter…and it lasts much longer too!

Bottom Line

Models Own Sculpt & Glow Liquid Highlighter is the perfect pick for getting a dewy, radiant glow that’s not the least bit sparkly or glittery. I’d highly recommend it, especially if you’re not a fan of powder highlighters and just want an easy fuss-free way to give your skin a subtle luminosity. And you can snag this rose gold goodness for only $ 11.99!
