Product Description

Frizz Ease 10 Day Tamer Pre-Shower Treatment leaves your hair silky smooth and perfectly behaved for 10 days, creating a long-lasting foundation for frizz-free, easy styling day after day. Applied to DRY hair before washing, it penetrates the hair fiber, for lasting smoothness and effortless manageability. Curl it, straighten it, or add some waves—your hair will be easier to style after just one use. Hair remains smooth for up to 10 days or 5 washes.

How to use it: Apply the pearlescent gel to dry hair before you step into the shower, allowing it to fully penetrate. Let the treatment sit for 10 minutes—then, turn on the water, shampoo and rinse, leaving behind smoother, sleeker strands that stay perfectly manageable for up to 10 days.

The gel formula is really easy to apply on dry hair. The directions suggest to section your hair and apply generously from root to tip until each section is completely saturated. Depending on the length and texture of your hair, you can get 1- 2 applications from this bottle (5 fl oz). For my thick, medium length hair, I used about 3-4th of the bottle in one application. It is suggested to leave on hair for 8-10 minutes but considering my unruly hair, I left it on for about 15-20 minutes. Then I rinsed it out with water, washed with my favorite sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner and let my hair air dry.

So, does the Frizz Ease 10-Day Tamer Pre-Shower Treatment really help to get my unruly tresses under control? Well, it does help to tame the frizz and flyaways while making my hair feel softer, smooth and more easily manageable (although not completely frizz-free). But I wouldn’t say this product is a game changer…at least for my hair that needs some heavy-duty defrizzing. It gave me smoother, fuss-free hair after the first wash and I didn’t feel the need to reach for my flat iron but the smoothness doesn’t last through 5 washes as promised. I have washed my hair a few times after the treatment and my hair was definitely not perfectly behaved after the second or third wash!

I think John Frieda Frizz Ease 10-Day Tamer Pre-Shower Treatment might work better to keep the frizz down for a longer time if you have fine, straight hair but for coarse, unruly wavy/curly hair that need a lot of help in the frizz maintenance department, it might be helpful only for a few days. That said, I will probably buy this product again when I need my hair to look more well-behaved for a special event or occasion!
