New for Spring 2016, Hard Candy Cheeky Tints are water based gel blushes that promise a sheer wash of long-lasting color with a mistake proof formula for beautifully flushed cheeks. These are available in 6 shades : Ballerina, You’re A Doll, Goddess, Diva, Geisha and Surfer Babe.
As you guys already know, I have always been a fan of gel/cream blushes so this new (budget-friendly) release from Hard Candy is right up my alley! I tried 3 shades of the Cheeky Tints sheer blush gels; Surfer Babe (coral pink), Goddess (bronze) and Geisha (red).
I like to apply this blush directly with my fingertips and blend it out on the apples of my cheeks. The gel formula is so light and airy and blends very easily. Oh…and a little goes a long way! All you need is a small dot on your finger for a natural, pretty flush of color. Just make sure to blend it out fast as the blush pigment starts to ‘set’ on your skin pretty quickly! Once set, the color really does last, and if you’re looking to pack more of a punch, they’re super-buildable as well. After about 5 to 6 hours, I still have a slight flush of color on my face, which is always a good thing. And I’m never one to re-apply!
I don’t see myself using Goddess (bronze) shade as a blush on my cheeks but I think it might be a nice option to add a bit of bronzy glow to your skin when mixed in with a luminizing lotion! Below are my unblended swipes. Check out how pigmented these are! I mean, just look at all that color but as I said before, they blend out pretty easily and you just need a little bit to get a sheer pop of color on your face! (there’s definitely way, way too much in my swatches and that’s just to give you an idea of all the colors)
The Hard Candy Cheeky Tints are definitely a keeper on my list. They’re also so easy to wear and apply, making these a no-brainer if you’re not comfortable fidgeting with brushes or application! With 6 shades in total, there’s something to suit every skin tone. And best of all, these come with an affordable price tag of only $ 6!
